Amrita Entrance Examination – Engineering (AEEE) is the entrance test administered and conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham for admission to its prestigious B.Tech programs offered across its various campuses.
AEEE is a national-level exam, known for its rigorous and fair assessment of candidates' aptitude in subjects like Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry.
The examination offers students a gateway to join one of India's top-ranked private engineering institutions, renowned for its high academic standards, world-class academic infrastructure, and strong emphasis on research and innovation. AEEE is offered as computer-based format, for candidates across the country.

Computer Based Test (CBT) held at various cities across the country.
Marks: 3 (three) marks are awarded for each correct answer and -1 (minus one) for each wrong answer
Candidates, whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 2003 upto 30th June 2009.
A pass in 10 + 2 (Class XII) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with minimum 60% aggregate of marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and with not less than 55% in each of these three subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidate passing out in 2025 and passed out in 2024 can apply.
Candidates applying for B.Tech. programs can now qualify even if any one subject (Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics) has marks between 50% and 55%, provided the overall aggregate across these three subjects remains at least 60%.
This updated eligibility applies for participation in the second and subsequent allotment rounds.
All subjects in the qualifying examination must be completed and passed in the same year and from the same board. Passing any subject from a different board or in a different year will not be considered valid.
Interested candidates can login to the official admission portal, https://aeee.amrita.edu , to submit their application online. To submit the application form, candidates must fill out personal information and academic profile. Candidates must select one of AEEE 2025, JEE Mains while deciding on the mode of admissions. Select the exam centre, date, and slot information if you've chosen AEEE 2025.
Candidates meeting the AEEE 2025 requirements will be offered admission to the University’s B.Tech programs based on their entrance exam performance. The AEEE will occur in two phases, in January and April 2025, at over 90 centers nationwide. The best score from either phase will determine rankings.
The university also admits students based on JEE Mains scores, with 70% of seats for AEEE 2025 applicants and 30% for high scores in JEE Mains 2025.
